QUICK REFERENCE FOR APPLYING FABRIC SAFE 2

MATERIAL APPLICATION COVERAGE
Canvas, Leather, Canvas tents, Canvas Awnings, Burlap Treat with retardant according to manufacturer's specifications

Apply with a mist applicator held 6" -8" from surface

Allow to dry before use Treat both sides where possible

200 -300 sq. ft. per gallon

Do not saturate, retardant will easily penetrate material

EXTERIOR:

Treatment of canvas tents and awnings with Fabric Safe 2 for canvas, gives excellent protection against ignition, flame spread and afterglow. It forms a barrier which inhibits ignition of the treated material and restricts the char to the immediate area touched exposed to flame. Fabric Safe 2 for canvas is a water-based, clear, odorless and non-toxic fire retardant. All surfaces to be treated must be clean. Due to the vast variety of tent materials, it is important to check for color fastness. This is done by applying a small amount of retardant to an obscure area and letting it dry ( a hair dryer will aid in drying). Apply retardant as it comes from the container. DO NOT DILUTE OR MIX FABRIC SAFE WITH ANY OTHER PRODUCTS. The coverage rate of Fabric Safe 2 is 200 to 300 square feet per gallon depending on the type and weight of the material being treated. All treated textiles/fabrics lose some of their fire retardant qualities after deep cleaning, therefore re-treatment with Fabric Safe 2 is necessary to achieve maximum results. Be sure all materials are dry before applying Fabric Safe 2 for canvas. A water based moisture sealer can be applied after applying Fabric Safe for canvas.

CAUTION:

Product must not freeze. It MUST NOT be thinned or diluted.

OVERSPRAY:

The overspray will not harm plants or animals. Spills can be flushed with water. A rag wetted with bleach and water mix will clean up spotting.

CLEAN UP PROCEDURE:

            1. Run bleach and water mix through spray mist applicator for cleaning any residue.

           2. Rinse sponges with bleach and water mix.

SAFETY FIRST:

If eye contact occurs, flood with water for fifteen (15) minutes and call a physician. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. DO NOT TAKE INTERNALLY.
